A non-partisan platform uniting
people interested in preserving

promoting self-care during these
trying times.
We Value the Following:
democracy, the freedoms and
protections enshrined in our
constitution, civic engagement
and the right to human dignity
for all people regardless of their
status in our country.
· A non-partisan atmosphere where those with differing opinions can connect respectfully and focus on shared values and goals.
· A method for developing a limited menu of weekly tasks to address our mutual goals and maximize our impact.
· A pathway to increasing civic engagement by making engagement simple and safe.
· A shared sense of empowerment and satisfaction as our efforts, in concert with others, help to promote change.
· A platform for organizers to connect and coordinate their efforts regularly.
· A foundation for developing a fellowship full of supportive and motivated people.
· A path to healing and uniting people in our country as we focus on shared goals and ideals and learn to compromise respectfully.
· An emphasis on self-care during these trying times.

There are already many groups addressing a variety of crucial needs. Rather than duplicating these efforts, we seek to honor them by uniting the voices of people, no matter their affiliation, so we can bring focus to our shared values, goals and ideals.
Through concentrated and timely efforts, we maximum our impact, build on unity and model democracy for our peers and future generations.

It is a right we exercise or risk losing.
It is the price for preserving our democracy and protecting our freedoms.
It involves staying informed, engaging with each other, regular engagement with our elected officials and voting.
It is a responsibility.
Like many others, I became increasingly concerned about the state of our democracy and wanted to do something. I spent many hours doom scrolling the news and online posts only to be worn out and discouraged in the end.
I attended the Hands Off and No Kings protests searching for direction. These experiences were amazing, and being surrounded by such patriotic and welcoming people helped me realize I was not alone and in great company. Each time I felt empowered, motivated and ready to get to work.
When looking for ways to engage, the options were overwhelming. Just the process of looking at all the options and trying to decide where to start was exhausting. This lowered my confidence I could make a difference.
These experiences made it clear to me our efforts are spread thin and this minimizes our impact. This is made worse by the fact we are increasingly responding to crises created by this administration.
When I talked to a friend of mine about these thoughts, he shared his daughters, although severely concerned, felt powerless to do anything. I could hear the pain in his voice as he said this. That is when this idea took shape.

“Perhaps you and I have lived too long with this miracle to properly be appreciative. Freedom is a fragile thing and it's never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by way of inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation … those in world history who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again.” – Ronald Reagan

Our goals are to provide a non-partisan platform where individuals can join their efforts with others who are interested in preserving democracy, promote self-care during these trying times and establish a public platform to support unity and fellowship in a safe non-partisan atmosphere.
We achieve this by seeking diverse perspectives from various groups, selecting and disseminating a limited menu of weekly action items and providing relevant self-care material. Secondarily, by establishing a platform where people can connect, engage in respectful dialogue, collaborate, network and prioritize self-care.
